Welcome to the website of the CONTAMED project, a European research project supported by the European Commission
CONTAMED stands for Contaminant mixtures and human reproductive health – novel strategies for health impact and risk assessment of endocrine disrupters. It aims to improve our knowledge about the role of chemical pollution in the decline of male reproductive health in Europe.

With a total budget of 3.49 M Euros for 3.5 years from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) for Research and Technology Developmnet, the project is coordinated by Professor Andreas Kortenkamp from the School of Pharmacy, University of London. It brings together leading European research teams in toxicology, reproductive biology and endocrinology, epidemiology, metabolomics, chemical analysis and chemicals regulation. There are 8 partner laboratories from six different countries. |
